Our Story
The Six Star Ranch was founded in 1914 by Adolf and Estella Rusche, on land passed down through the Rusche family line, from Nicholas Rusche to his son Otto, and ultimately to Adolf and Estella. The Rusches are one of the founding families of Fredericksburg, Texas, with roots in the region stretching back to 1846, when their ancestors arrived from Germany among the original 120 settlers alongside Baron von Meusebach.
For over a century, this sixth-generation ranch has sustained a thriving cattle operation and a year-round hunting business.
Now, we are excited to open a new chapter: a destination getaway that invites visitors to experience the beauty of the Texas Hill Country for themselves. In the coming year, we will be expanding our offerings to include ranch tours, hay rides, extended hiking, and much more.
